Welcome to the Sixth Form

Our sixth form, comprising Years 12 to 13, is focussed on preparing our students for the next stage in their life. For most this means a combination of studying for International A levels, the Cypriot Apolyterion (school leaving certificate) and IELTS certification for those who do not speak English as a first language.

Our Sixth Formers graduate with well-respected, highly portable qualifications that secure them entry to excellent universities in the UK, Europe, North America and beyond. In recent years our graduates have been accepted for a very diverse range of courses at prestigious institutions, from Law at University College London, to Economics at the University of Edinburgh, to Fine Art and Design at University College Dublin and Screen Production at the SAE Institute in Auckland, New Zealand.

We pride ourselves on helping our Sixth Formers secure offers from their target universities and helping them to achieve their dreams. Our success rate (Students meeting offer conditions from their target universities) is incredibly high because we invest time and resources into preparing all our students well. From the first days of Lower Sixth (Year 12), we encourage them to think about what they want to achieve in higher education and beyond, so we can help them plan the best way to fulfil their aims. We support them every step of the way, encouraging them to identify and develop their unique strengths as individuals.

Along with their academic studies, which are of the highest standards, our Sixth Formers develop their skills for life beyond school. They have their own common room and are encouraged to bridge the gap between being a pupil and becoming a university student. All of them complete a course in Citizenship Studies in which they are encouraged to look outwards and to understand their obligations in adult life such as voting, taxation, charity projects and so on.

Applications for entry to our Sixth Form are welcomed from ambitious students of other schools. We are a selective school and admission to the Sixth Form requires a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grades A*-C (9-4) or equivalent or satisfactory completion of an entry test.
