The Aspire School Boys Basketball team played their first of three matches yesterday. The Aspire Boys faced the Kykkou Lyceum Boys at Emba Gymnasium School. 

The boys played well and demonstrated great sportsmanship. Competitive Games are important for so many reasons. Firstly they are great fun to participate in.  Win or lose the team gain so much. 

The students put themselves in a nervous situation that pushes them to be their best selves. They discover their strengths and weaknesses. They learn the importance of teamwork and learn to play as one. They evaluate their performance and of course – they build memories! 

The Kykkou Lyceum Boys won the match on this occasion. We applaud them for their sportsmanship during the match and we thank our PE Department for organizing the match. 

We look forward to the next match against Geroskipou Lyceum Boys after the half-term break.
