On Saturday 7th February 2026, Computer Science and ICT students from Aspire Private British School proudly took part in YouthTechFest 2026, held at The Warehouse Event Space in Limassol, accompanied by their teacher, Mr Theo.
Throughout the day, all students actively participated in a wide range of inspiring activities designed to promote creativity, technology and innovation.
As part of the Edutainment Fair, all students explored interactive technology exhibits, hands-on workshops and engaging demonstrations that encouraged curiosity and problem-solving.
Students also visited the UK Universities Pavilion, where they explored future study opportunities, learned about different UK universities and discussed academic pathways and careers in technology and science.
In addition, all students participated in the Chess Festival, with Mark Mustakimov, Christoforos Mavrangelidis and Andrew Gaskov representing Aspire in the chess competition, demonstrating strong strategic thinking, concentration and sportsmanship.
During the Youth Unicorn Startup Contest, students showcased innovative ideas and digital solutions.
Dmitrii Shubin presented an educational app designed to help users learn and recognise flags from around the world through interactive challenges.
Vladimir Barsukov and Christoforos Mavrangelidis presented a transport-focused app that tracks public buses, providing users with real-time location updates and useful travel information.
Aspire students also took part in the debate competition, with Andrew Gaskov, Annika Lang and Frida Gaynulin confidently representing the school and showcasing excellent communication, critical thinking and teamwork skills.
In addition, a raffle was held for student competitors attending the event. Congratulations to:

The event was completed with interactive shows, workshops, masterclasses and hands-on activities led by scientists, engineers and programmers, creating an exciting and motivating environment for all participants.
