Getting Started
Once everything is in place we will send you a pack containing all the information for starting in the Sixth Form at Aspire Private British School and you will be invited to purchase your child’s uniform ready to start at school.
Reading is one of the most important things that children learn in school. To promote reading for pleasure, we are designating May as our ‘I love to Read Month!’
Primary children will bring home a sheet full of hearts. We ask that each evening parents listen to them read, from any source, in any language. This includes Friday and Saturday. Complete one heart per day, with your signature and the length of time read. Send the completed hearts into school the next day, when they will be stuck onto your child’s calendar in class.
Each week we will reward those that have completed their charts with a small gift. At the end of the month, those with a fully completed chart will receive a gift and a certificate.
In addition to this reading record, we will be organising several book related activities throughout the month.

Assessments are held throughout the year but please apply early as places are limited. Children should be over four and the assessment is an informal session, lasting up to 30 minutes. Please bring your child’s latest school/nursery report where applicable.
You will receive notification of your child’s performance. If successful and a place is available you will be offered a space; if there is not a space available then you will be offered a waiting list place.
Once a firm place is offered, to secure your place we ask that the deposit is returned as soon as possible to the school.
